Use of GSM SMS services for sending information to central server and basic administration: AWLMS is an intelligent device with an automated/remotely configurable software application which is programmed to send and receive SMS from any GSM Mobile Network. The readings and alarms generated by the device are sent to the central server using SMS services of GSM Mobile Operator which are extremely cheap and reliable with near 99.9% uptime.
Efficient Power Management ensuring maximum uptime of the Device without any human interfere: Firstly the Solar Power ensure 0 losses and fluctuations to the Device, which increases the life of every electronic part used in the Device, thus resulting in smooth functioning for a longer period.
The device remains in Sleep mode always, consuming near 0% power and it gets activated only on scheduled reading time or a trigger SMS from the central server or any mobile number. This increases the overall power efficiency of the device, as ideally the device gets powered on only at the time of taking reading.
The intelligent power management system ensures that when there is no solar panel charging happening due to rains or cloudy weather, the device goes in a sleep mode and remains in that state until the Solar panel charging regains. The device can sustain for at least 6 days without availability of Solar Power, and considering Indian weather, this is a very rare situation.
Customized Centralized Information Management Software: Every AWLMS device is tightly integrated with a completely customized Centralized Information Management Software which acts as a controller for all the devices. AWLMS device only listens to the commands given by Centralized Software and interact with it for readings, alarms, problems etc. The software can manage all the devices implemented across the region from a single console. It generates the required location-wise reports as-an-when required. The reports are generated through a simple web based interface which can be made available over internet. If authorized you can also request the reading of a specific AWLMS by simply sending SMS to the Software server and server will in turn call the reading from that device and send you the same through SMS.
The software is based on a complete open source stack using PHP & MYSQL. It can be further customized based on your requirement after analyzing the scope.
